Q301 Brain and Cognition, is a three-credit undergraduate course offered through the Cognitive Science department. The course covers recent techniques and findings of the emerging field of cognitive neuroscience. In this course, students are introduced to the anatomy of the brain, neurons, and how they function, and hardware and methodologies of cognitive neuroscience research. Cognitive systems (visual, auditory, attention, memory, learning, and language) are also addressed. Students are exposed to the content by addressing large problems that encompass a number of cognitive neuroscience issues. This approach provides students opportunities to focus on personal areas of interest in cognitive neuroscience.
The instructor for the course is Dr. Tom Busey. Tom is
an Assistant Professor of Psychology. He may be reached at work at 855-4261
